Rooms......

All rooms have lovely views - either into the adjacent woodland (where you may see roe deer or the elusive pine marten) or over the garden and beyond into the rolling countryside.  

The bedrooms have been decorated and simply furnished to reflect the age of the house and all have very comfortable beds, crisp cotton bedlinen, choice of pillows,  plenty of storage, cosy bathrobes and hairdryers. There are no TV’s in the bedrooms, but we have plenty of books if you’d like to borrow one.

All rooms either have an en-suite shower room or an adjacent, private bath/shower room. All have excellent showers with gallons of hot water, plenty of towels, shaver/toothbrush sockets, Scottish Fine Soaps toiletries and other little extras you may find useful.

...and Food

Meals are varied, wholesome (apart from some very naughty puds!) and made from scratch using seasonal, local produce whenever possible. We keep hens for breakfast eggs, grow herbs and salad, bake most of our own bread and make all our own marmalades and jams. When you book we ask for three things you cannot/prefer not to eat and our menus are planned around this. Most special dietary requirements can be catered for - just let us know when you book.

Hot drinks, biscuits, homebakes and fruit are available to help yourself to 24 hrs a day from the buffet in the hall.  Please note that we cannot serve alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own wine or nightcap and we’ll provide the glasses, ice and corkscrew!
